Gardening plots, outdoor event space and

Unity Garden Mission
The mission of the Unity
Gardens is to collectively grow diverse food and friendships. The
Unity Gardens promote and popularize environmental literacy,
community stewardship and healthy, fresh food options by embracing
intergenerational learning and culturally diverse gardening.
Gardening program description
The gardening program is comprised of 24 plots
that are 4x20 feet. These plots are gardened by individuals from the
community, individuals working through other organizations that
Sorenson Unity Center partners with, and groups such as Colors of
Success that teaches a group of children about gardening, community,
and healthy lifestyle. Plots are assigned by need of partnered
organizations and random selection of individuals that apply. We
always try to give priority to those within our community and
surrounding zip codes.
